Covid-19 vaccination centre opens in Cape Town
A private vaccination centre, has officially been opened at the Rylands Civic Centre in Cape Town by Melomed Gatesville.
The centre is expected to assist the Department of Health to cater for the vaccination needs of healthcare workers in the private sector in the country.
According to the hospital group, the vaccination centre which is the first private vaccination site in Cape Town metropolis, is to assist the Department of Health.
The city of Cape Town approved the hall’s conversion into a vaccine centre that is compliant with the health protocols set out by the national Department of Health.
Melomed praised the collaboration in the private and public sector that gave rise to the vaccination centre, saying it was proud to be a part of it.
‘We are all here to ensure we execute a well-managed, fully operational vaccination site’
‘It is extremely pleasing to see that, even though our staff have worked through two Covid-19 waves, they are still motivated and able to dedicate their time and resources towards ensuring the success of the national vaccination rollout,’ the company said.
